Meet the UAS Family: Jonathan Boardman

Meet Jonathan Boardman,

seed treatment specialist for Unified Ag Solutions. He services UAS customers across Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas.

Here’s a little more about him…

How long have you been with UAS?

3 years as of 2023.

What do you enjoy most about working at UAS?

I love the fact that we are a family-owned company so we can flex to the needs of the situation. We can put the needs of our customers ahead of the needs of some corporate body. It is also a family atmosphere, and we treat each other and our customers as such.

What is your history in the ag industry?

I am lucky to have worked in the U.S. and southern Africa. I started out doing sugarcane research in South Africa before moving into sales agronomy in crops like tobacco, sugarcane, potatoes, fruits, veggies, as well as broadacre and row crops. My wife and I then moved to Kansas in 2017 where I started working for an ag retailer in western Missouri, before joining UAS in 2020.

What do you enjoy most about the ag industry?

I like farmers. They are very practical people who are grounded in reality. Being around farmers is like the opposite of being on a college campus.

Ballparking, how many treaters have you serviced in your career?

I’m kind of a newbie so maybe 40-50.

What value do you, personally, bring to your customers?

Above all, I hope to bring a good service with a cheery attitude.

How many miles are on your truck this year?

About 75k for the year.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

Spending time with my wife and 3 kiddos, and competitive pistol shooting.

Favorite meal?

Crawfish boil. For that reason, I am pushing to get more treater sales into the South. 😊

Favorite drink?

Coffee.
