Treaters, Conveyors, Bins & More: The Best Equipment for Your Bulk Seed Site

Treaters, Conveyors, Bins & More: The Best Equipment for Your Bulk Seed Site

Ready to upgrade your treating site to a bulk seed system? UAS offers a variety of conveyors, seed bins, hoppers, treaters, weighing systems and complete automation packages to meet your specific bulk site’s needs.

From conception to completion, we’ll help you determine what makes the most sense for your space, operation and budget—so you can maximize your return on investment.

Take a look at a few equipment options below.

SEED TREATERS

For maximum efficiency and accuracy, UAS recommends the USC LPV or LPX Lite seed treater. Both are drum treaters that can treat approximately 350 to 1,5000 lbs. of seed per minute. They both come in fully automated forms, and they support other add-ons like pump stands, conveyors, dry additive feeders, a portable trailer and more.

Plus, you can choose from a variety of weighing options for your treater.

For smaller bulk sites, a more economical approach would be the USC AT500 treater. It can be used in both box-to-box and bulk setups. More on the AT500 here.

For high volume, high accuracy cereal treating, you may want to consider the USC High Capacity Cereal Treater. The CTHC is fitted with one 54 bushel holding hopper, a high capacity weigh belt, nebulizer chamber, and atomizer chamber. The system comes with two automated pumps with containment hoppers. There are access points on all sides of the unit for transportation along with jacks to level the unit. And the system can be paired with a trailer with an attached auger.

CONVEYORS

Every bulk site is erected differently, so we offer a wide variety of conveyors to fit any operation’s size and setup. Choose from under bin conveyors, bin fill conveyors, truck-unload conveyors, and more from the brands below.

Every customer and every bulk site is different, so it’s best to work with your UAS rep to determine which conveyors are right for you.

For commercial, heavy-duty equipment, Convey-All or USC conveyors may be the way to go. They’re built more industrially and can handle more seed. Plus, they can run around the clock—allowing you to maximize bulk seed capacity. For more info, contact your UAS rep.

BULK BINS

We’ve partnered with the best bin manufacturers in the industry to provide seed storage bins for safe handling of your treated seed. The bins feature smooth walls with internal seed ladders, plus aeration. Whether you need a single bin or a whole row of them, we’ll hook you up.

MERIDIAN

If you want to install commercial, top-of-the-line bins with more capacity, Meridian is your go-to. Meridian has multiple bins to choose from, including Grainmax Bins, Multi-Purpose Bins, Feed Bins, Steep Cone Bins, Liquid Hopper Bins and more.

Regarding storage capacity, Meridian offers bins that can hold up to 8,000+ bushels. They maintain a fair resale value too should you ever need to sell them down the road.

SCHULD BUSHNELL

For a more economical option, go with Schuld Bushnell bins. They work great as well, especially for smaller or mid-sized bulk sites. They offer storage capacities ranging from 500 bushels up to 4,000.

Schuld Bushnell bins are built with galvanized steel, which improves their durability, longevity and rust resistance. For more info, contact your UAS rep.

Other questions worth considering for your bulk site…

  • What kind of space do I need?

Can you get by with your current footprint, or will you have to build something new? Regardless, UAS can help out in any scenario. We provide custom CAD drawings, and find ways to maximize your space—all while keeping elevation, ceiling height, topography and numerous other factors in mind as well.
